Nicky qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2004 and worked in the professional negligence department of a specialist insurance litigation firm in London. Moving to New Zealand in 2009, Nicky joined Robertsons and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2011.

Nicky practices in all aspects of professional indemnity and general liability insurance, providing both indemnity and liability advice. Acting for a wide range of professionals, Nicky’s particular interest lies in claims against solicitors and financial advisers.

As well as acting in respect of the defence of civil claims, Nicky is highly skilled in dealing with both the indemnity and high-stakes liability issues surrounding complaints made against professionals to the relevant regulatory bodies, including the New Zealand Law Society and Financial Services Complaints Ltd.
