She has prosecuted over 88 jury trials as lead counsel in a variety of areas in the District and High Court and conducted Judge Alone Trials as lead counsel. She has also appeared on appeals in the High Court and hearings in the Youth Court, Court of Appeal and Parole Board. She has a significant amount of experience preparing written submissions, arguing legal pre-trials and conducting cases in Court.

Eliza qualified at The University of Auckland where she was awarded a Senior Law Prize. She started her career in civil litigation with a focus on tax and fraud including appearances as sole counsel in the High Court, insolvency and liquidation Courts. She has also been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales where she prosecuted cases at the Department of Public Prosecutions in Sydney, New South Wales. With her strong advocacy skills and significant prosecutorial background, Eliza has decided to move back into a civil litigation taking a keen interest in insurance.
